Nice tribute, Carol. What a great keepsake. We owe a debt of gratitude to all our veterans. My dad and my husband were both veterans. In all their working years, neither of them ever received Veteran's Day off as a holiday. I never was a veteran and yet I always got the day off. Never understood that.
What a fantastic idea! Mom still has Dad's uniform boxed up in the basement. When she is ready to part with it those will make a wonderful remembrance memento to divide among family members.
